“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
The Truth
Thirty days ago you started with the Father, self-existent and holy, before anything else was. You moved through the Son, the Word made flesh, wounded, risen, and reigning. Now you close with the Spirit, and notice what he does not do: he does not speak of himself, drawing attention to his own person. He guides you, always, toward the truth already given in the Father and the Son.
This is the pattern of the whole Trinity, worth carrying with you long after these thirty days end. Three persons, one God, and none of them competing for your attention at another’s expense. The Spirit glorifies the Son. The Son reveals the Father. The Father sent them both for you. Nothing here is divided against itself.
You were never meant to leave this study with a completed file on God, closed and finished. He shall shew you things to come is a promise of ongoing guidance, not a one-time download. What you have learned in thirty days is real ground to stand on, and it is also the beginning of a lifetime of the Spirit leading you further into the same unshakeable truth.
So go from here not with a finished project but with a foundation. The Father who was there before anything else. The Son who became flesh and finished the work. The Spirit who guides you, today and every day after, into all truth. This is the God you know, and he is not finished showing you who he is.
Live This Truth
- Write down the single truth from these thirty days that most reshaped how you see God.
- Ask the Spirit today to keep guiding you, not stop at what you have already learned.
- Tell one person this week something true about God you did not know a month ago.
Prayer
Spirit of truth, you have guided me through thirty days and you are not finished. Keep leading me deeper into the Father and the Son, for the rest of my life. Amen.
Carry this today
A foundation, not a finished file. He is not finished showing me who he is.
A Foundation, Not a Finished File
Thirty days ago you began at the beginning: a God who simply is, before anything else was.
You know him now, not fully, but truly: Father, Son, and Spirit, one God, unshaken.
What you have built here is not a finished project. It is ground steady enough to build the rest of your life on. Keep building.
Let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me.
