“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
The Chain
Thirty days ago this book began with servant of sin, honest naming of genuine bondage, before anything else could genuinely follow. It closes here, with able to keep you from falling, and present you faultless, not your own achieved perfection, but his ability, actively named, to accomplish both, keeping and presenting.
Notice with exceeding joy, the specific quality attached to this eventual presentation, not merely relief or grudging acceptance, but exceeding joy, worth holding as the actual, genuine emotional tenor of this whole book’s final destination, not somber survival but genuine, exceeding celebration.
Look back over these thirty days, bound, broken, free, and notice they were never really separate stages, but one continuous movement, honest naming, genuine breaking, and now, actual, lived freedom, all of it culminating here, in this doxology, glory and majesty, dominion and power, ascribed to the one able to accomplish all of it.
You began this book naming honest bondage. You end it here, with this ancient doxology as your own genuine confession. He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless, with exceeding joy, not because your own effort has finally proven sufficient, but because he, genuinely, comprehensively, is able.
Break the Chain
- Write down the single truth from these thirty days that most reshaped how you see your own struggle.
- Name one specific way you will keep trusting his ability, deliberately, past this book’s final page.
- Tell one person this week something true about freedom in Christ you did not know a month ago.
Prayer
Now unto him that is able to keep me from falling, and to present me faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Carry this today
He is able to keep you from falling. Trust his ability, not your own sufficient effort.
Able to Keep You From Falling
Thirty days ago you began naming a servant of sin, honestly, before anything else could genuinely follow.
You know now: the breaking was not shameful. It was the sacrifice he desired. And the freedom was never yours to achieve. It was already made.
Whatever chain remains, or whatever new one still forms, you do not face it alone, and you do not face it to determine an uncertain outcome.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
Jude 1:24
