“Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.”
Hebrews 13:7

The Few

Thirty days ago this book began with he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, being with before sending. It closes here, with remember them which have the rule over you, this whole book’s arc now turned back toward your own debt, whoever genuinely discipled you, worth remembering directly today.

Notice whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation, specific instruction to actually imitate this example, not merely remember it sentimentally, but follow it, actively, considering the actual outcome their own faith produced, worth holding as this whole book’s own final, practical instruction.

Look back over these thirty days, chosen, poured out, multiplied, and notice they were never really separate stages, but one continuous chain, someone genuinely invested in you, you invested genuinely in others, and this chain, this whole book has insisted, was always meant to continue, generation after generation.

You began this book learning that being with precedes sending. You end it here, remembering whoever was with you first, and now, genuinely, actually being with whoever you are sending forth in turn, this whole chain, Paul’s original instruction to Timothy, continuing, faithfully, through you, into faithful men who shall teach others also.

Pour Into the Few

  • Remember specifically who genuinely discipled you, and thank them today, if this remains possible.
  • Write down the single truth from these thirty days that most reshaped how you see discipleship.
  • Name one specific person you will continue investing in, deliberately, past this book’s final page.

Prayer

Lord, let me remember them which have had the rule over me, and let me follow their faith, considering the end of their conversation. Let this chain continue, faithfully, through me. Amen.

Carry this today

Remember whoever discipled you first, and continue this same chain, faithfully, through others.

Remember Them Which Have the Rule

Thirty days ago you began with he ordained twelve, that they should be with him.

You know now: the pouring out was not waste. It was the actual mechanism of a harvest built to outlive you.

Whoever you are investing in tonight, you do not do it alone, and it was never only for their sake.

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow.
