The Foe · Day 10 of 30

Satan Cometh Immediately

Part One · Aware · 1 minute read

← The Foe

“And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.”
Mark 4:15

The Battle

This closes the first movement of this book with a specific pattern from the parable of the sower, immediately, urgency named directly, the enemy’s response to genuinely received truth happening not eventually or occasionally, but immediately, a rapid, deliberate effort to remove what has just genuinely taken root.

This is worth examining against however much genuine truth you have received, in this book or elsewhere, that seemed to fade unusually quickly, not through your own careless neglect necessarily, but through this named, immediate, active effort to take away the word that was sown, before it could genuinely establish itself.

This closes the loop this whole first movement has traced. Misidentified enemies, active hunting, deceptive lies, unrecognized devices, subtle distortion, disguised appearances, restless activity, targeted sifting, relentless accusation, all of it building toward this final pattern, immediate effort to remove genuinely received truth.

As this movement closes, protect whatever truth this book has already sown in you today, specifically, recognizing this immediate pattern for what it is, and taking deliberate steps to actually retain what has been received, not allowing it to be immediately taken away before this second movement’s exploration of actual armor even begins.

Stand Firm

  • Notice what truth from this book’s first days may already be fading, taken away too quickly.
  • Take one deliberate step today to actually retain and establish that truth, not merely receive it.
  • Carry this whole first movement’s awareness forward into this week’s exploration of actual armor.

Prayer

Lord, protect the word sown in me these first ten days. Do not let it be taken away immediately, before it has genuinely established root. Help me actually retain what I receive. Amen.

Carry this today

Genuinely received truth is often targeted immediately, before it can establish root.
