A Thirty Day Battle

The Foe

Aware, Armed, and Overcome in Christ

Begin Day 1 ↓

Thirty Days · Aware, Armed, Overcome

Thirty days to know the enemy, wear the armor, and stand in victory already won.

Read this the way you would actually prepare for a battle you cannot avoid: alert, willing to name the real enemy, ready to put on what will actually protect you.

For the next thirty days you are going to look honestly at spiritual warfare: who the real enemy actually is, what the armor of God actually requires, and what it means to fight from an already-secured victory rather than toward an uncertain one. This will not be a study that treats this lightly, or one that treats it with anxious fear either. It takes the battle seriously, because pretending it does not exist is its own kind of defeat.

The work is arranged in three movements of ten days each. First, Aware: correctly identifying the actual enemy and his actual tactics. Then, Armed: the whole armor of God, piece by piece, actually put on. Then, Overcome: what it means to fight, and stand, from within a victory Christ has already, decisively won.

Each day gives you the same tools. A verse to anchor you. A short reflection to be read slowly, not skimmed. A response to actually live out, because truth you only agree with changes little in an actual battle. A prayer to pray in your own words. And one line to carry with you into the day ahead.

How to use it: read one day at a time, unhurried, in order if you can. Let the reflection meet your actual battle, not a hypothetical one. Actually do the response. Pray the prayer, then keep praying in your own words.

All Scripture here is from the King James Version. The battle is real, and so is the victory already won. Begin.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
