A Thirty Day Crossroads

The Fork

Two Ways, Asking for Wisdom, and Walking It Out

Begin Day 1 ↓

Thirty Days · Two Ways, Ask For Wisdom, Walk In It

Thirty days for the decision in front of you, and the wisdom to walk it out.

Read this the way you would actually stand at a real crossroads: honest about the two ways in front of you, willing to ask for real direction, ready to walk once the way becomes clear.

For the next thirty days you are going to look honestly at decisions: how to recognize a genuine fork, how to actually seek wisdom rather than merely hope for it, and what it costs to walk forward once a way has become clear. This will not be a study that pretends every decision is obvious. It takes discernment as seriously as commitment, because a fork walked carelessly costs as much as one never walked at all.

The work is arranged in three movements of ten days each. First, Two Ways: honestly naming the fork in front of you. Then, Ask for Wisdom: the active, humble practice of seeking real counsel and real discernment. Then, Walk in It: what it actually requires to move forward, without looking back, once the way has become clear.

Each day gives you the same tools. A verse to anchor you. A short reflection to be read slowly, not skimmed. A response to actually live out at your own actual crossroads, because truth you only agree with changes little at the actual fork. A prayer to pray in your own words. And one line to carry with you into the day ahead.

How to use it: read one day at a time, unhurried, in order if you can. Let the reflection meet your actual decision, not a hypothetical one. Actually do the response. Pray the prayer, then keep praying in your own words.

All Scripture here is from the King James Version. The fork in front of you is real, and so is the wisdom available for it. Begin.

“Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16
